Idea
La Carnita redefines what a restaurant space can be:- It becomes a canvas of visual storytelling through colors, patterns, and materials- Blends social interaction and privacy through smart seating arrangement - Embraces sustainability and well-being by integrating greenery, natural light, and earthy tones
Conceptualization and Planning
Design Process
The concept was born from a vision of urban escape. The team wanted to merge a Latin street-style aesthetic with modern Arabian coastal vibrancy. Every design element was curated to:- Evoke emotion and cultural warmth - Offer an immersive, sensorial dining experience - Optimize flow and zoning for both high-traffic evenings and intimate gatherings
Implementation and Styling
Design Process
The implementation phase focused on blending industrial rawness with tropical vitality. Monolith achieved this through:- Custom curved red leather booths and bespoke woven chairs- Textured concrete, black steel accents, and lush biophilic installations- Neon signage, geometric black-and-white flooring, and rattan lighting for a bold, edgy ambiance- Seamless indoor-outdoor transition using natural wood dividers and sculptural plants
