Idea
Ghaf Woods is conceived as a biophilic urban sanctuary a community where architecture, landscape, and interior design work in harmony to bring residents closer to nature. Monolith's joinery scope was approached with this philosophy at its core: every cabinet, every door, every built-in unit was designed and crafted to complement the development's organic material palette of natural wood tones, warm neutrals, and tactile finishes that echo the surrounding landscape.
Conceptualization and Planning
Design Process
The joinery package spans multiple residential units across the development, requiring meticulous planning and coordination to ensure consistency of finish and quality across a large-scale, multi-unit programme. Monolith's in-house joinery factory was engaged from the outset to develop bespoke joinery solutions from kitchen cabinetry and wardrobes to feature joinery elements all manufactured to the exacting specifications set by Majid Al Futtaim's design team and delivered on a rolling programme aligned with the development's construction schedule.
Implementation and Styling
Design Process
All joinery elements are being manufactured at Monolith's dedicated factory and installed on-site by Monolith's specialist fit-out teams, ensuring full quality control from production through to final installation. The material selections of natural wood veneers, lacquered finishes, and integrated hardware were carefully curated to align with the development's nature-inspired design language. As an ongoing project, Monolith continues to work in close partnership with Majid Al Futtaim to deliver this landmark commission to the highest standard of craftsmanship.
